Who we are

Operator Holdings ([Operator Holdings Ltd, company no. XXXXXXXX, registered office address]) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@operatorholdings.com.

What we collect

When you use our contact form or write to us: your name, email address, phone number (if given), your business name, sector, location, approximate turnover, your timeframe and anything else you choose to tell us.

When we contact business owners first, we use information from public sources such as Companies House (company and director details and registered addresses) and business directories.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to discuss a possible purchase of your business and to keep in touch about it. Where you've used our form, we rely on your consent. Where we contact you first, we rely on our legitimate interest in finding businesses to buy; we keep these contacts brief, relevant to you as a business owner, and easy to stop.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run our business (email, form and hosting services) and, if talks progress and you agree, our professional advisers and lenders, all under confidentiality.

How long we keep it

While we're in conversation and for up to three years afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If a purchase goes ahead, records are kept as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. To stop hearing from us, reply "no thanks" to any message or email hello@operatorholdings.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
